Tumours of the eyeball are rare. These tumours can arise in the eyeball or spread to the eyeball from elsewhere. In adults ‘melanoma’ is the commonest tumour that arises in the eyeball and in children it is ‘retinoblastoma’. Tumours also arise form the conjunctiva, eyelids and the orbit.
